Your privacy matters to us. Bluffalo is a creative category word game with Solo, Bluffalo, and Party modes. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
An account is not required for party mode. Solo and Bluffalo gameplay is processed through our server for AI judging. If you sign in with Google, we store your user ID, display name, and subscription status. Player names entered for party mode are only used during that session.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your information is never traded for profit.
Party mode uses peer-to-peer (WebRTC) connections — answers go directly between players. Solo and Bluffalo answers are sent to our server for AI judging. We cache answers and rulings to improve scoring accuracy and reduce costs. Leaderboard entries are stored permanently for signed-in users.
Solo and Bluffalo answers are sent to Anthropic's API (Claude) for AI judging. Anthropic does not use API data for model training by default. API data is retained by Anthropic for up to 30 days for safety monitoring, then deleted. See Anthropic's privacy policy for details.
We collect anonymous, aggregated usage metrics solely to improve the game experience. These analytics do not identify individual users and include things like how many games are played and which features are used most often. We also log answer submissions with hashed IPs (not real IPs) to tune AI scoring accuracy.
Bluffalo displays ads provided by Google (AdSense on web, AdMob on mobile). These services may collect device identifiers, cookies, and usage data to serve relevant ads. This data is handled according to Google's privacy policy. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device or browser settings.
Bluffalo itself does not set cookies. However, third-party advertising services (Google AdSense/AdMob) may set cookies to serve and measure ads. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
Any data we do collect is safeguarded using industry-standard security practices. Data is stored for a limited time and only as long as necessary to provide and improve the game.
Bluffalo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
